Lynne Greene (L) and Thia Breen rise to the top of the ladder at The Estée Lauder Companies.
In what the company is calling a “strategic organizational evolution,” executive chairman William P. Lauder and president and chief executive officer Fabrizio Freda have announced the expansion of its number of group presidents, from two to four. The two new senior positions added to top management belong to Thia Breen and Lynne Greene, and will be effective January 1.

Breen has been named to the new position of group president North America, continuing to lead the company’s home market. She will oversee both the U.S. and Canadian affiliates.

In Greene’s role as group president, she will continue to oversee the Clinique, Origins and Ojon global brands, with the addition of the Aveda and Darphin brands. She will also join the company’s investment and development committee to help guide global M&A strategy.

Both Breen and Greene will continue to report to Freda, who said the organizational changes “reflect the outstanding global growth of the company.”

John Demsey and Cedric Prouve are the company’s current two group presidents.
